Lucific is a nanotechnology company for bioorganic phosphors.

We use genetic blueprints for the biotechnological production of target molecules in bioreactors. A major focus is the transformation of fluorescent proteins (FP) from molecular probes into nanoscale factories for active materials in optoelectronic devices and biosensors.

Lucific programs fluorescent proteins at the genetic level and uses their effective light conversion properties to develop biocompatible and degradable electronic devices for LED lighting, biolasers, photodiodes, biotransistors and soft robotics.

Lucific covers the entire development cycle from protein design, biofabrication, device fabrication and optical characterization.
